Statement

Today two more American soldiers were killed by "unfriendly" friendly fire. The two soldiers were killed by an Afghan soldier during a firefight. After the shooting, the soldier in question ran away.

When is DoD going to learn. Our troops have accomplished the mission in Afghanistan, Bin Laden is dead. We cannot trust the Afghans in uniform and we cannot win the hearts and minds of a waring tribal society. Our troops have stood proudly and now it is time to come home.

I hear our elected officials speak of the cost of war, but never do they discuss the "true" cost to our troops. We are losing 2 troops per day in a war we do not belong in anymore. The media is not covering the war. I guess the hurricane is more important than our troops.

I spoke with a disabled veteran this weekend. He was unable to get proper medical assistance from the VA to help with the injuries inflicted in this war. However, an illegal immigrant can walk right into a hospital and be treated. Where have we gone wrong? Do not let congress refocus your attention to Tax Returns or War on "whatever". Remember we still have troops in harms way and those that have returned that need our help!
